Joyce Chen has teamed up with The Iron Chef, the wildly popular cooking show that sets the stage for world renown chef's to compete in a feverish, well-stocked, well-equipped stadium kitchen, to create a progressive, advanced technology cast iron cookware collection. Iron Chef cookware is produced using a new proprietary casting technology that enables the production of lightweight, thin-walled cast iron cookware. The technology involves a new process, a special alloy and unique tooling to create an iron casting with less porosity and more ductility. As a result, the casting is not as brittle as conventional cast iron this translates into thinner, less heavy cast iron!
