Iogear GCS742UW6 2-PORT VGA KVM Switch

Iogear GCS742UW6 2-PORT VGA KVM Switch

IOGEAR's new GCS742UW6VGA Hybrid KVM addresses the problem of connecting a USB mouse and PS/2 keyboard to a KVM. No longer do you need to give up your favorite keyboard or mouse to accommodate a PS/2 or USB only KVM this is the best of both worlds. In addition to the hybrid connections you can share your desktop speakers and microphone between both computers, plus have the ability to switch them independently from KVM functions. You can make an internet call from one computer while working on a spreadsheet on another computer without skipping a beat. The GCS742UW6 has a selectable rate Auto scan mode to allow hands-off monitoring of your computers which is perfect for the times when you have processes running on both computers, and just want to monitor their progress, i.e. a virus scan on one and a disk defragmenter on another. Two methods: hot keys, or the One Touch Switch, enable you to switch computers to match the KVM to your style of work rather than the other way round. The GCS742UW6 can be placed on the floor behind your desk to help minimize desktop clutter while staggered cables lengths aid in taming the cable tangle behind your computers. The one touch switch is small enough to be placed in a handy, out-of-the-way place. The GCS742UW6 has a video resolution to 2048 x 1536 DDC2B 60Hz and the One Touch Switch has LEDs to identify the active port.
